In front of some older houses, we find brick-walkways, which add such character to the home. Those houses are often from the 1920's and wonderfully quaint. That brick walkway winds up to the front door, saying:" Go ahead, walk up to this house. You're welcome!" Caring for brick pavers Caring for such an "antique" or even a newer version of your old brick-walkway is a rewarding task. The classic look of that rich red brick can be restored with the tip of my pressure washer wand ;-) and a sealer, that takes care of the unique nature of old and new brick pavers. The end result can look stunning, like this: The one thing to take care of, when cleaning brick pavers, is the "thirst" of the porous brick: It has to be saturated with clean water before any pressure washing can take place. That is to say, before any cleaning detergent should be applied. Why this is so important you can read here... New brick pavers The decision to have a new walkway installed with brick pavers is a worthwhile investment. There is a large variety of paver stones that - like with everything - the experienced advice of a professional is key to end up with the look one had envisioned. If you ever thought about having a brick patio, walk- or driveway installed, we recommend a highly experienced professional, since there is more to it than laying down the stones. We have teamed up and successfully worked with a company in business for years, who install and seal pavers on a highly professional level. They can can give you a free consultation and quote - and I make sure you get a nice discount on your work! Clean bricks - anyone? Here is the question: Are the bricks on your walls, drive- or walkways longing for the 'good old days', where they would glow from afar in their beautiful, deep dark-red color, always welcoming everyone? (Oh yes, I am feeling poetic now ;-) If so, then give me a call and Evan and I come to their rescue! Kind regards, Mauricio Munoz - Owner - Photo credits: Title image - Bigstockphoto.com
