Attractive Residential and Commercial Rooftops
Today, in large numbers residents of the Greater Tampa Area appreciate the critical importance of maintaining residential and commercial roofs in appealing, clean condition. By ensuring your roof possesses a fresh, attractive appearance, you'll contribute to the beauty of your premises. DPI Pressure Washing in Clearwater offers services to help you enjoy a lovely roof throughout the year.
Residential pressure washing is necessary for every home owner in Clearwater and the greater Tampa Bay area.
Your property will become dirty over time, and you cannot clean all these structures on your own. Every building deserves to be clean to prevent a poor image to the public and neighbors. Not to forget, your home's value will fall when it is dirty, and your building will not look inviting to your guests visiting you. Even your family will suffer when the property is dirty, but we can help you with our experienced pressure washing and window cleaning company. We offer the cleaning services you need for your home in Tampa.
Yes! Please, for the well-being of your house and your family, get your gutters cleaned regularly.
This doesn't meant once every three years. We're talking at least two or three times a year. That may seem like a lot of guttering cleaning, but keep in mind that the gutters on your home are very important for ensuring everyone inside stays nice and dry. Without these wonderful pieces of aluminum hanging on the side of your roof, the water from the rain could seep inside, ruining your walls, the new rug in the basement, or even your home's foundation. Does any of that sound like fun to have to replace?
It doesn't to us, either.
With proper care, the shingle roof of your house in Tampa can last for 15 years or longer. Caring for your roof isn't a full-time job, but you do need to think about cleaning your shingles yourself or with the help of a professional when you notice your pristine roof is becoming an eyesore. The good news is proper cleaning of your shingle roof isn't expensive or too difficult, as common household chemicals can be used for most cleaning tasks.
Consider it a Gift to Yourself!
A shiny, clean roof like this could be yours, given that you have a tiled roof. Then again, if your home has an asphalt shingle roof, it might look more like this after a thorough soft washing ...
What do you see when you look at your driveway? Is it caked with dirt, mildew and algae? Maybe you have oil, A/C and other chemical stains resulting from years of use and neglect. Even your spilled coffee didn’t fully wash off when it rained. Did you know that these stains eat their way into the concrete and are often hard or impossible to remove? And they are not just ugly: Whether you have a regular concrete surface, stamped concrete or pavers, some aggressive liquids can even cause etching of your concrete which calls for a different approach than stain removal.
Some of our customers asked us about the disinfectant solution that we use, to get outdoor spaces like patios, pool screens and walls germ-free and if those disinfectants pose a hazard to plants around their home.
Throughout the ages, clay tile roofs have been a popular and durable way to protect building structures. The popularity of terracotta tiles as a roofing material has waxed and waned over the centuries, but one thing is for certain, these roofs are popular in Clearwater, Florida. Why is that so?
When holidays come around, you want every part of your home to look great, whether it's inside or outside. Taking care of exterior maintenance in Clearwater is easy at any time of the year because it never gets too cold.
Metal roofs are popular in the Clearwater area for both homes and businesses because of their ability to withstand the high winds of tropical storms and hurricanes. The average lifespan of a metal roof is slightly longer than for asphalt.
Residential and commercial roofs in the Clearwater area can sure take a beating during the course of a typical year. High humidity levels and salt spray, if you are near the ocean, do their work daily, while the occasional tropical storm pounds dirt and debris and make a dingy roof look even worse. Soon, moss, algae or lichen can begin to take hold and slowly damage your roof, shortening its life.
Some older homes and commercial buildings in the Clearwater area can have roofs or cement siding that contain asbestos. Asbestos was commonly used as a component in many different building components between 1930 and 1950. Older building materials that contain asbestos can also include base flashing, cement wallboard, asphalt and vinyl floor tile and vinyl sheet flooring.
When it comes to cleaning your roof, you have two options: do the job yourself with rented equipment or hire a qualified professional to do the work for you. Because of the hassle of climbing up on a ladder and the danger involved in doing so, many homeowners opt to have a contractor do the job instead. At the same time, however, some may put off the job, thinking that the cost will be prohibitive.
Cleaning your roof is much less expensive than you think, especially when the method used is power- or softwashing.
Tile roofs are common in the Clearwater-Tampa Bay area. After all, they are the perfect accompaniment to the Spanish architecture that our regional favors for construction. A well-constructed terracotta tile roof can last 100 years and even longer with the proper care. Not only are tile roofing materials durable, but they are also fire resistant.
In a climate like here in Clearwater, the exteriors of buildings take big beatings. Sun, heat, humidity, winds and tropical storm all combine to batter your home or business. One of the exterior areas that takes the hardest beating is your roof. Because the roof is up high, we often don't think about it until it becomes discolored or otherwise show massive amounts of accumulated dirt and debris.
Are you not afraid of heights? Then cleaning your own roof might be the right job for you :-)
There are two options: Pressurewashing or Softwashing.
I have chosen two short videos that explain the process and its risks i.e. advantages. Both examples show an asphalt shingle roof being cleaned but the same is true for almost any other type of roof.
So, if you are considering cleaning your roof yourself, I recommend watching these two videos:
We received this happy note of our customer Dave from Tampa, which I´d like to share with you:
The past weeks we were busy softwashing roofs around the Tampa Bay area, like the one above from Jimmy in Tampa. It doesn't matter what type of roof you have, a gentle soft-wash is always doing the work nicely.
Below you see the barrel tile roof of David's home in Clearwater:
Tony called us to handle his tiled roof. When we arrived, his roof tiles definitely looked a lot darker then his neighbors (on the left).
But wait what happened next. His neighbor must have become jealous ... ;-)
See the complete transformation:
Softwashing is a gentle cleaning process that we usually apply on all roofs.
The tiles - or in this case a huge membrane roof - are sprayed with a special cleaning solution. After leaving it to act upon the surface, any dirt, algae or midlew will detach and can be removed by a thorough rinse (applying only soft pressure), leaving the roof sparkling clean.
As you can see here, the the job at hand was massive and it took several days to get the whole roof clean.
This is Tommy's home.
We went to clean his roof in Safety Harbor the other day. It wasn’t looking too appealing as you can see above but I think, there is a nice difference after we were done (in the picture below).
... but the result is certainly nothing to sneeze at!
What you see here is an asphalt-roof that was "rolled on" and is commonly used for buildings that feature a low sloped roof pitch. Read more about asphalt roofing.
We made a new customer extremely happy when we cleaned her roof last week, making her feel like she got a “new house” (in her very own words).

In February this year we worked on a slightly bigger project than our usual residential roof softwashing jobs. This was a community close to the Courtney-Campbell-Causeway in Tampa, with 3-storey apartment buildings and a lot of roof square footage to clean.
When we arrived, this was the view on the roofs from the top:
