Normally, heavy rain does not pose a problem since roofs and gutters are made to keep the water from leaking into our homes.

Problems are only arising from clogged or damaged gutters, which promote water leakage into the house, overflow down the siding and soak the foundation. Eventually this can damage the roof structure and foundation of your home. And then there is another thing: The amount of dirt, that can accumulate in a rain gutter, can be very extensive and eventually becomes really heavy, weighing the gutter down.

Depending on the size of your house, you can do it yourself. If your home is several stories high, or you simply don't feel comfortable doing this job yourself, you can call us.

Pollen season is early upon us this year again and with it the unsightly yellow dust, the dry pollen strands and the so called “silk-worms” dangling from the trees flying everywhere covering anything and everything.

Here in Florida we especially see this happening due to our beautiful oak trees, but also cypress and cedar, Australian pines and others. The wind carries the pollen and the dried pollen strands through the air and it doesn't matter if you have trees in your yard or not - the pollen (and strands) are carried well over some distance and happily land on your front porch, your car, porch & screens, well, literally everywhere.

Those clouds of pollen emanating from these trees make many people react with allergies and only a good rain can alleviate the symptoms for allergy sufferers. But rain of any magnitude isn't predicted so there are a few things that allergic people can do:

• Keep the windows closed and run the air conditioner. 
• Do the same when driving in your car.
• Wait for a good long rain to clean the air - or -
• Get your house and surrounding area pressure washed to clean the immediate environment.

Typically, pollen season begins in mid-February. The season peaks in the middle of March and usually is mostly over by the end of April.

If you are not good at performing a rain-dance but don’t like the yellow powdery film and dry strands covering your walk- and driveway, the window screens and basically everything else, call your pressure washing and window cleaning company and let them take care of the problem.
