Do You Know How-to Safely Clean Your Pool Screen?

I thought that you might like some help with getting rid off all those pine needles, leaves, straw and other debris on your pool enclosure and searched on YouTube for good video-tutorials on the subject.

There is a whole series of them, all presented by a seasoned professional on ehow, and I’d like to share them with you. These short tutorials are being played automatically, one after another. I am sure that you will find some valuable tips on how to do this task yourself.

How to safely clean a pool cage off pine needles and other debris using a pool brush and a leaf blower

Excerpt from the video:
Standing on your roof, lightly rest your pool broom on the screen. Move the needles with light pressure away from you. Get up on a ladder on the other side and pull the debris towards you. Safety advice: Don't walk on the screen-enclosure as it is not designed to support your weight!

To sum it up: Regular cleaning is needed every couple of month because once your enclosure has accumulated a certain amount of pine needles, they trap other pine needles and debris which would normally be blown off by the wind. More and more needles get stuck in the screen and this can weigh down and damage your screen.

Spring Cleaning

I know, I know: It's ONLY just October, but we have to talk about the upcoming Holidays. There are only 31 days to Halloween, followed by 22 days 'till Thanksgiving. Once the Christmas decoration goes up on your house, there will be no pressure washing any more until the end of the year.
